Privacy Policy

O’Liberty Security School (“the school”, “we”) runs a security guard training website. This policy says what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it in the same plain language we use on the rest of the site.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and a password hash if you sign up with us directly, or the basic profile Google shares with us if you sign in with Google (name, email address, and a Google account identifier). We never receive your Google password.
• Enrollment and training records — which courses you bought, which video segments you have watched and when, your answers to the per-segment check questions, your final exam result, and any diploma issued to you. These are the records that show you completed the training, so we keep them deliberately.
• Intake information — what you enter on the intake form, used to enroll you and to tell you which course is right for you.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your card number. We see the outcome of the transaction, the amount, and a transaction reference, so we can confirm your enrollment and handle refunds.
• Technical information — an IP address and basic request logging, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

What we use it for

To deliver the training you bought, to record and evidence your completion, to issue your diploma, to answer your support requests, to process payments and refunds, to prevent abuse of the learning module, and to meet any legal or regulatory obligation that applies to us as a school.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your training activity to build advertising profiles. We do not share your information with employers or with any job board — the job search on this site is a list of public openings and does not transmit your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the site work, and only what they need:

• Our authentication and database provider (Supabase), which stores your account and training records.
• Our payment processor (Stripe), which takes payments and holds card data on our behalf.
• Our video host (Cloudflare), which delivers the lectures and records watch progress.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the school or others.

How long we keep it

Training and completion records are kept for as long as needed to evidence your training and to meet record-keeping obligations, and account details are kept while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your account, and we will — except for records we are obliged to keep.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and the data behind it, by writing to hello@libertytrainings.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and will tell you if we cannot do something and why.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access to student records is limited. Video lectures are delivered with per-user signed access rather than a public link, which is what keeps the learning module honest. No system is perfect, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information.

Children

This site is for people old enough to hold a New York security guard license. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the account area.
