New York sets the training requirements — not us, and not any school. The Department of State registers guards; DCJS approves training schools. We show you the state’s own pages for every rule, fee and deadline.

FDNY certificates of fitness. These are exam-only certificates issued by FDNY — what we offer is optional exam preparation, $30 each, and you take only the ones you want.

Each course is split into 5–10 minute video segments. A segment is marked complete only when it has actually been watched.
Every segment ends with a single question. Answer it to unlock the next segment — that is how the module confirms you were following.
Once every segment is complete, a 20-question test unlocks for the courses where New York requires an exam. The annual in-service course does not require a test, so there it is a knowledge check, not a gate.
A diploma is issued in your name under O’Liberty Security School, saved to your account, and sent to you as a PDF.
We take the “must complete the training” requirement seriously, because the state does. Segments are streamed with per-user signed access, watch progress is recorded server-side, and a segment only unlocks the next one when it has been watched. There is no “mark as complete” button, and the final exam will not open early.
A multilingual interface is being built for this school, so the navigation, instructions and course text can meet you in your own language. It is not switched on yet — the site is English for now, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Official state documents and exam material are always shown in their original English, exactly as the state publishes them.
